About Yourself: I'm a 22 year old rural Aussie, recent graduate with aBachelor of Applied Science: Wildlife Technology. I'm also working two jobs, one of which is mostly fieldwork so please have patience if I don't reply to your comments immediately. I'm a wide reader, scribble some very bad art and spend most spare time sleeping. Oh the glories of sleep! My idea of heaven is a rainy day with a cup of coffee, a scotchbikkie and a new Terry Pratchett novel.

Thoughts On Fanfiction: Me, I suppose I've been writing fanfiction since I was seven and got the internet when I was 13. Everything I wrote up until fifteen years of age was gawdawful. I know about dialogue intensity, Mary-Sues and flames, so if you have any questions or just wanna chat about fanfiction don't hesitate to contact me. I do hang around MSN from time to time and look forward to seeing you!

My favourite thing and just about the only things I read are OC's. I love a good well rounded character that isn't pashing every canon male in sight. Action is the name of the game, not much interest in romance but heck, I'll pounce into just about any OC.

To me, it's not the authors of a fandom that are the heart of it but the reviewers. It takes guts to be a good reviewer, the ability to tow the line between saving a person's feelings but being honest enough to tell them what's wrong and how to improve it is a hard one, and the satisfaction at watching an author come into their own is wonderful. Gowon, give a review today!

Pet Peeves: Fluff-Reviews. They're the opposite of a flame and generally random spasms of the keyboard. "I luve ur fic!" is more damaging than a flame because it causesIf you read a fic, and it left an impression of you, surely you can write a coherant sentence about it. Similarly people who put R&R at the bottom of they're fic and go into abusive rage because you do just that. I was polite to you, a little courtesy please, (Don't worry, TONFA hasn't done that to me yet! You guys are wonderfully receptive!)

Fanfiction:
Tucka's Tutes: Just something threaded together to help the newbies get to know the basics a reader expects from an author that really cares about their work. More to come in the future.
Naruto Seisen: *chuckles* My biiiig project engulfing what I love, big action, exposition of canon plot and characters and OC's.
Four years ago the Rookie Nine of Konoha defeated the Akatsuki, destroyed their idol and sent the tailed beasts back to the realms of death, but their destruction was also that Amegakure no Sato and in the power vacuum Naruto's life of a ninja is thrown into chaos. Four years later, Konoha struggles for for dependable jonin to teach the next generation- too bad all they have is Kana, loud, insulting and disgraced many years ago so that she was sent away....

About Yourself:
I'm 17 year old Aussie boy in a rural city, who's that for an oxymoron? I'm in my last year of High School, currently studying four Units of English, Ancient History, Retail and Information, Processes and Technology. When I get to Uni, I plan on studying Psychology, with minor classes in Philiosophy and Writing. I prefer fantasy reads, but I have read a wide variety of books, on the occasion draw things to get a visual itch out of my system and sing veyr bad Singstar when I'm in the mood to punish my family.

Thoughts on Fanfiction:
I've been writing for about five years now, my first inspiration to start writing was actually from Bushtucka's first, big story, so I guess I have her to thank for most of this. I wrote by myself for about three months, before I approached Bushtucka and she took me udner her wing. Since then, I've been trying to improve my skills, and eventually overtake and kill my mentor... I mean, outdo my mentor...Yes, outdo. My main strengths when it comes to writing is my gift for names, creating backgrouns and mythology as well as being a muse / idea-bouncer for others. I hang arouns MSN A LOT, so pop in and give me a yell up if you need help with anything.
When it comes to stories, I'm similar in tastes to Bushtucka, and tend to head for the OCs, but on the occasion I will go and check out the stories with Canon stories. I'm not the glutton for punishment Bushtucka is, so if I know a story is a Mary-Sue, I will back out a lot sooner than she may. I do keep a helping dispenser of Bleeprin, special pills that take away the pain and erase the memories. Mostly I like to read stories of my friends and people I know to keep the helping hand, but for the most part, I review when the story is very good, very bad, or I'm in the right mood.

Pet Peeves:
SPELLING! I'm absolutely picky about spelling, which is ironic, since I tend to mispell a lot. However, if there is an excess of it in a story, I often grab my trusty bug zapper and hit it. A minor peeve was is the people who say they won't post the next chapter until they get X more reviews, but I'm willing to overlook that in most cases.

Major Fics: (Adding to the list)
Beginnings of a Master: My first, real big fic. This is a Pokemon, and centres on the Pokemon Trainer Sam, who is starting on his own journey. I know, it sounds cliche, but if you read it, you'll notice I like to poke the cliches with a stick. He's partner is a Mudkip with a perchant for practical joeks and a quick wit. This story has won about three awards online.
Worlds Apart: This is a huge crossover with just about anything and everything you can think of in it. It centres around ten individuals from multiple fandoms having to come together and protect the Universe from the Heartless (Kingdom Hearts) by using special powers they gain as Crest Holders, special people who most represent the quality their crest represents (Crest of Courage, Friendship, etc). It's probably the story I've put most work into.
The Heirs: More of an online RPG than anything, it's about three kids who are the Heirs to the power of the Charmed Ones (Charmed). It's mostly to blow off steam than anything, and to keep my writing skills on edge in my downtime. It's a Charmed / Buffy crossover, so if you like either of those, drop in and check it out!

About Yourself:
I'm 16 living in a little nowhere place called New Jersey. I'm in my sophomore year of high school, and I want to be a photographer. I don't read books to often, because I'm a slow reader.

Thoughts on Fanfiction:
I've been writing for a few years now, and slowly getting better. I think it's a great way to show your fandom, especially if you can't draw or video edit. Its also a good way to practice writing skills for the real world.

Pet Peeves:
When people think that because everyone likes their story, they are some sort of god. really get over it already.

Major Fics:
10 Unspoken Rules of High School: Though the story is currently on hold, it's the first real commitment I've made to a set ending of a story. I'm quite proud of that.
my Tears of Humanity series: It is my only set of stories centered around my OC world.

Title: Moderator of Yuri/Femslash

Contacts: You can PM me anytime, I check it more than my email anyway.

About me: I'm 17 years old, a junior in highschool, and hopefully about to get my driver's license soon. I live in a wonderful little town near Boston. If I have to live in this rathole south of Canada, I can't think of a better town to do it in. I'm looking at a college in Paris, France. I was also looking at one in Beirut, Lebanon until the civil war flared up yesterday Sad (Maybe I'll try Kuwait instead, but Paris is still my first choice). I'm a Neopagan. Technically a Wiccan, but I often forget the sabbats because I'm so swamped in work, play, and general geekery. I'm a huge anime fan, and I've also been on a bit of a sentai kick lately. I love fencing, but my lessons ended back in February and the place hasn't opened up again. I'm still looking for one nearby. I'm a huge metal head, especially folk metal and power metal. Some of my favorite bands include Korpiklaani, Skyclad, Helloween, Iced Earth, X Japan, and Onmyou-Za. I listen to a lot of metal from around the world. My music library includes bands from Kazakhstan, Lebanon, and Vietnam.

Thoughts on fanfiction: It's a really nice hobby. I ABSOLUTELY cannot draw, so this is my only real way to express my inner fangeek.

Pet Peeves: Racism and homophobia. I have friends of different races and sexual orientations, and we get along fine. Why can't the world do the same. And I am not gross just because I ship Katoph!

About Yourself: I'm a 19 year old political science major and honors scholar at Montana State University. My hobbies include roleplaying games, computer gaming, creative writing and philosophy. When it comes to literature, I'm fairly knowledgeable and fairly well read, though not quite as much as I would like. I tend to gravitate towards cyberpunk style literature. I love a good dystopia, and I'd really like to write one. I am an aspiring writer, actually, so I'm always game to discuss literature and writing in general.

Living in a conservative, parochial state in the US like Montana has really been wearing me down, so you'll have to excuse my complete lack of optimism.

Thoughts On Fanfiction: I've actually been writing fan fiction since 2001, when I was still in middle school. It was mostly military science fiction then, nearly all posted at halo.bungie.org. I wrote under the pen name "LordofDestruction", so you can go check out my absolutely atrocious early foray into fan fiction if you wish. Though I am at least a little proud of one of my later fics. Moving from the action and character centric world of military sci-fi into the world of romance driven anime fan fiction has been quite the adjustment. I don't think I'll ever fit in all that well.

I really do like a well constructed original character. They breathe life into a story, and bridge the gap between original fiction and fan fiction. Without learning how to develop a character, an author will forever remain stunted.

Pairing fiction is starting to get a bit stale to me. That is partly why I chose to moderate the Yuri category: it seems to be a welcome breath of originality into the idea of fan-pairings. That said, what I think that Naruto fanfiction really needs is more people willing to mix both action and romance together, rather than sacrifice all action to a focus on romance.

Pet Peeves: Stereotypes, particularly harmful ones. These seem to be all too common in fan fiction, and tend to be nothing more than a crutch. Originality seems to be too scarce a commodity for writers, so far too many fall back on certain safe ideas in the fan fiction community. You know what these are.

Major Fics:
Prisoners of Fate: A mature rated Naruto fanfiction set three years after the time skip. It blends action, romance, tragedy and a bit of philosophy together as we watch Naruto and Sakura's quest to save Sasuke come to completion, albeit at a heavy price. It serves as a back story for another fic, and is notable in that it is actually only the second fic that I've ever actually finished (the other was the one Halo fanfic that I was proud of).
Runes to My Memory: A continuation of Prisoners of Fate, focusing on the lives of three young OCs growing up in the shadow of the greatest heros of Konoha. This fic is still under construction, but I hope to use these OCs as a lens through which to view the continuing tragedy from Prisoners of Fate, and also as a means for redemption for the characters involved.
The Demon Within: A cyberpunk alternate universe of Naruto. A deliberate attempt on my part to invert the story that we all know so well to provide an alternate point of view. Still in the process of writing, but overall, this is the idea that has me most excited, and I hope to write a lot more on this one over the summer.

About Yourself:I'm an 18-year old high school junior, living in one of the places with the weirdest climate in California, USA. I have a few hobbies- creative writing, video games, and listening to music. I usually prefer rap or R&B. Philosophy strikes a chord with me, as well. I don't consider myself someone who's very well read.

I wasn't born in the U.S., mind you... I was born in China. I also lived in Japan for a while before, so I have a reasonable proficiency in both Chinese and Japanese, though English is still the language I'm best at.

Thoughts on Fanfiction:I've wrote stories before, but didn't get started with fanfiction until June 2007. I've come pretty far from my early stories, which I've (thankfully) never posted anywhere.

The way I look at it, writing skills are never perfected. It's a process of constant honing and sharpening.

I consider characterization to be one of the key points of emphasis in a story. In fanfiction, a given character should be believably interpreted, with good character depth. An original character should also be given the same treatment, though a writer must build a character from ground up in that case, which adds another level of difficulty for the matter. Another important aspect of characterization is making the characters interact realistically. Believable characters mean that the reader can better relate to them, and therefore they make a story more engaging.

I usually prefer to read Action/Adventure or Romance stories (yaoi, yuri, straight... doesn't really matter to me); pure fluff isn't exactly the name of my game, though. In my opinion, Romance stories should contain an action or character-driven element, but that's just me, of course. I don't mind pairings too much, although there are pairings I do like.

Pet Peeves: I don't get ticked off too easily, but I do have a thing against homophobia, particularly against people who say they're tolerant of homosexuality but actually aren't. Racism leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, as well. As for fanfiction, my "pet peeve" (never used that term much... oh well) is shallow character analysis, though I'm not immune to it myself... I often get stuck on a block because I think I can't characterize a character well enough.

Major Fics:
Air Mail to Neji: My first full-length fanfic, about Neji and Tenten, set four years after timeskip. I got inspired to write the whole thing after reading a letter fic another author wrote in Tenten's POV. Neji and Tenten begin a romantic relationship in the story, but Neji joining ANBU adds an unexpected strain on their relationship. I'm using this story as a tool to develop my writing skills. I'm still a long way from being done with it, so I shouldn't spoil the story right now.
Swordsman: OC-centric, action-driven alternate timeline story. It's a companion fic to another author's series on Kiba, and focuses on a fictional member of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, as well as Akatsuki. The premise of the story is that the Lands of Sound and Earth have allied with each other, allowing Orochimaru to set his plan for world domination into motion. The Lands of Lightning and Water must ally if they hope to face the threat, but old grudges make such an alliance difficult, if not impossible. Shusui, the protagonist, wishes to stage a coup in the Land of Water so as to remove the old, hard-liners from power, and forge an alliance with the Cloud ninja; however, things do not go as planned, and a journey of a lifetime begins for the blade master as the threat of annihilation grows ever larger on the horizon.

About Yourself:
I'm 16, almost 17, and going to a program for people with 'issues' though I dropped out of high school over a year ago. Not many things can hold my interest, and I tend to get bored very easily. Most people think I'm manipulative and cruel, but really, it's just an act. I can be very nice when I want to be.

Thoughts On Fanfiction: I personally think that fanfiction is a wonderful thing. There are so many people (like myself) who probably would have never picked up writing if it weren't for fanfiction. It allows people to write about something they're really passionate about, and it helps you to tweak your creativity by changing a world that somebody else created.

Pet Peeves: When people don't bother attempting to write well or think up their own ideas. I mean, I can only read so many "Naruto and Sasuke get lost on a mission" stories before I want to claw my eyes out.

About Yourself:I'm 16 years old, hyperactive and not only do I mod the Madfic category I should live there! I'm crazy, insane, and completely and utterly overdramatic and random.

I'm in grade 11, and I'm going to a public school for this year and next year. Its been a real shock coming from an all girl private school to a co-ed public. the system is so different!

As I'm writing this I'm also studying for my mid-year exams!!! Well.... exam.... I only have one and thats for English. So I know I'm gonna go well on it!... then completely fail it on the day >.<

I'm currently writing the begining of a series... So by the time anyone reads this it'll be up...maybe

Also, I'm Wiccan, So if you have a problem with that then screw you =D I used to go to a Catholic school and I was shunned by most of the students and quite a few teachers because of my beliefs... So i'm kinda protective of that... I'm specialising in herb lore, while my best friend is specialising in Tarot reading.... I'm meant to know how to tarot read but I dont even have a pack =D

Oh! and I live in australia =D

Thoughts on Fanfiction: Well, When I first read fanfiction it was all about Inuyasha, coz that was the only anime/manga I knew about, but naruto followed soon after and after a nag from my friend Bleach and Full Metal Achemist. And naturaly my brain buzzed and I got into writing fanfic.

I've been writing in some for or other since I was 3 years old and I used to read the dictionary (No joke I really did, and I still carry a dictionary with me everywhere I go) but back then my hand writing was godamn awful and I gave up pretty quickly. From when I was about 8 I've been writing various poems. Recently I have been writing scripts for drama school, and I'm writing one of our end of year plays.

Pet Peeves: Grammar!!! Especially my own!!! Also school blocking websites from being veiwed! D= also authors who start a story and never finish it.... Not that I'm one.... Well ok I am, but I dont have enough people liking my stories for anyone to care about it! Also I hate people who hate homosexuals!!! GRAW!!!! (I have 3 gay brothers, so I know all about homosexuals =D)

Major Fics:
50 ways of a manga addict: Meet Jason, a transfer student who sees a girl and confesses a deep love for her. Meet Katorin, A manga addict, who's going to make jason proove his love for her, the hard way. Meet Jiro And Laska identical to the last brain cell... ok, they only have one brain cell between them, but theyre all good... sort of... For Jason, surviving the tests Katorin has put up for him, is going to be a one way ticket to hell, wit katorins love waiting for him at the end, if he survives! ON HIATUS
MORE TO COME SOON!

About Yourself: I'm a 21 year old Canadian female with too much time on her hands. I'm currently at that not in school and searching for a job phase of life where most of my day is split between job hunting and messing around online. Reading is both a hobby and a passion so finding me engrossed in a fic or book ( possibly both at once if the internet is taking forever to load pages) is highly likely. I'm pretty social and don't mind being pestered on messengers even if it's just for random chatting.

Thoughts on Fanfiction: I think I've forgotten exactly when I was launched into the world of fanfic but I do remember that it was a confusing and glorious time. Most of what I read at first was Yaoi fic and it took me a while to even realize there was het fic out there. I noticed early on though that a lot of what I read was eerily similar to the harlequin romance novels I'd been reading since I was 7.

I started out writing with a horribly contrived DBZ fic, but with help from friends combined with a widening range of things I was reading I slowly began to realize that what I could do a lot better. I moved onto the Pokemon fandom where I met Topaz and things just seemed to click from there.

When I'm choosing something to read I'm usually drawn in by interesting sounding plots in summaries. I've even been known to read things with pairings I hate if the plot itself sounds like something that shouldn't be passed up. In general I prefer action or mystery based fics, especially long drawn out ones where every possible angle is explored.

Pet Peeves: Romance fics with no other substance, plotholes, badly done first person, people who don't research.
